Psalm 90:12-16
12 Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.
13 O Lord, come back to us! How long will You delay? Take pity on Your servants!
14 Satisfy us each morning with Your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives.
15 Give us gladness in proportion to our former misery! Replace the evil years with good.
16 Let us, Your servants, see You work again; let our children see Your glory.
Psalm 90:12-16
Father in Heaven,
I am a candle dimming. Life is so short and my heart aches today at how much time I waste. How much I worry about myself. How much I get bogged down in fear, stewing and fretting over frivolous matters.
Thank you that this is a NEW day. Each morning You are here … waiting … ready to fill me … to fill Your church … with Your mercy … to lead us by Your Spirit.
Shame sneaks up. Shame for the days I strayed … for careless words … for getting caught up in evil because I slipped into believing Your promises weren’t enough for me and for the problems of this world.
Let shame be the path to turning back to You and Your ways … not an open door for the devil to whisper his condemnation. You do not condemn a repentant heart … You set it free.
Father, I pray that in this very moment of time in our nation and world, that You set many hearts free … and for this nation Lord, that You replace the evil years with good … that You calm angry hearts and restore a love of innocence … restore gentleness and humility … let us be so in AWE of Your wisdom that we choose to trust You over man-made solutions.
I pray for anyone needing prayer … whose heart struggles with despair, shame … even rage. May Your love still them … turn them to Your grace … to Your waiting arms.
And most of all Lord, May our all of our children … my children and their children … see Your glory.
In Jesus name.
Amen

I am devoting much of this year to joining with others in prayer, so am therefore filling my social media pages with prayers that other can join. I invite you to add requests of your own. Join in silently or add to the comments.
It is an awesome thing to watch the Lord at work through the prayers of His children!
Blessed,
Shelly
